Being a mom means something different to everyone. For me, it means cherishing the small moments – like tiny fingers wrapped around yours or sleepy snuggles before bedtime. These quiet, everyday experiences deserve to be remembered. I’m Aspin McKenzie, a family photographer, and I help families create beautiful portraits that become treasured keepsakes.

A Different Start

I never expected to find my calling photographing families. In 2013, I was covering Friday night football for our local newspaper. Years passed as I explored different types of photography, but something was always missing. Then in 2023, my son Hotchner was born, and everything made sense. The photos I cherish most are the ones capturing our bond, and I realized: this is what I want to give other moms – those tender details that make your heart swell but often get forgotten with time.

What Matters Most

I believe in keeping things simple and real. When we work together, there’s no need for perfect poses or forced smiles. Maybe it’s the way your toddler nuzzles into your neck, or how your baby’s eyes light up when you sing their favorite song. These are the moments that tell your family’s true story – the natural connections and gentle touches that say “I love you” without words.
