PHOTOGRAPHY

Welcome to the blog, where I share tips, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and beautiful stories from working with families to create lasting heirlooms.

As a Kansas City family photographer, I specialize in capturing the intimate bond between mothers and their children. While my journey started with photographing couples, I quickly realized that my true passion lies in motherhood photography—preserving the love and connection between moms and their little ones.

DIY Flatlay Styling for Family Heirlooms

Three side-by-side images of wedding decor. The first shows a close-up of the wedding table setting, including white plates, a pink card holder, pink and orange florals, and gold silverware. The second is a flatlay of save-the-date and information cards in pink and orange, set on a purple-pink backdrop. The third is a wide shot of the full table layout, viewed from the side, with the same color palette as the first image.
Two side-by-side images of a woman in a deep red South Asian wedding dress. In the first, she swishes her dupatta around her face while looking directly at the camera, adorned with extravagant jewelry. In the second, she looks over her shoulder at the camera while standing between two window panes, wearing the same outfit.

Two side-by-side images of a bride and groom. In the first, the bride, in a white wedding gown, photographed underneath the veil with the bride. In the second, the groom holds the bride as they stand facing the window panes. The bride leans her head into the groom, while he gazes at her.
Two side-by-side images of photographer Aspin McKenzie. In the first, she is seated, looking to her left. In the second, she is seated in an archway, holding a camera and looking directly at the camera.
